STO 00220227-045-2017

JSC “IrkutskNIIhimmash” has developed the standard of organization STO 00220227-045-2017 “Recommended practices on conducting the technical state evaluation and determination of the remaining life of technical devices (vessels, apparatuses, pipelines, pipeline valves and detachable joints)”.
These recommended practices are applied to the technical devices (steel vessels, apparatuses, pipelines, pipeline valves and detachable joints) manufactured in Russia and other countries for chemical, petrochemical and refining industries. These recommended practices could be applied to the other industries’ technical devices if these devices are comply with the federal rules and regulations “Regulations on industrial safety of hazardous production facilities using the equipment working under the excess pressure”, “Regulations on designing, manufacturing and acceptance of steel welded vessels and apparatuses” (PB (safety rules) 03-584-03).
These recommended practices contain basic requirements and recommendations for diagnosing technical state and determining remaining and further safe operation life of technical devices. This document includes some approaches, algorithms and experimental data provided in Recommended practices on diagnosing technical state and determining remaining life of vessels and apparatuses RD-03-421-01 (regulatory document) and American petroleum institute standard API 579.
