Monography «Practical Diagnosis»

In this monography (2009) the most difficult and interesting cases of diagnosing the equipment of petrochemical, refining, pulp-and-paper and other kinds of production are considered. Also, the influence of various kinds of corrosion, type of stresses, and operation period on a technical condition of the equipment at high pressures and temperatures in hydrogen-containing environments and the other aggressive ones is shown.
There are examples of non-standard calculations of the stress-strained state and remaining life, as well as the technical solutions that allowed to execute unique repairs and extend resources of equipment operation.
The material is based on 60 years of experience of JSC “IrkutskNIIhimmash” experts on equipment designing, field supervision over its production and operation, the long-term researches connected with developing the normative documents (GOSTs (State Standards), OSTs (branch standard), RD (guiding documents), TU (technical specifications), and diagnostic work.
